Inspiration:-
One phrase by Leonardo da vinci--“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” describes my work.I create clothes to please my clients, not to please any fashion critic. I firmly believe that Consumer is God, and its him or her to decide whats best for him. Any girl who wants to look pretty in clothes she is wearing is my inspiration, scents of flowers, the feminity in me, inspire me to do feminine and wearable clothing.

I call my-self a classic recreator, giving timeless classic fashion a modern definition........

Background:-
After graduating from Pearl Academy Of Fashion in the year 1998, I moved on to NIFT where I finished MY post graduation in Knitwear Design & Technology in 2001.

Having won the accolades for ‘most creative designer of the year’, for MY graduating collection at NIFT, ‘Swapan-Parineeta’, I grabbed the eyeballs of fashion experts. MY title brought ME the opportunity to work with India’s two top-notch designers, Ritu Kumar and Ritu Beri. Not only this I got to Intern with Singaporean Designer Ms. Celia Loe at her Boutique in Singapore at Orchard Plaza.

Unofficially I launched my Label CHIRAG-JOSHI at the NIFT Store, new delhi, in 2001, but getting trained under Ms.Beri And Ms.Kumar was too good an offer to leave by so I decided to launch my collection officially later after my training.

I launched MY first monsoon collection in July 2007, under MY signature label ‘Chirag Joshi’. MY collection comprised of exquisite, ultra feminine ethnic and western clothes for Indian women. MY designs are marked with floral and geometric prints, with cut-out patterns in different shapes and sizes, metallic meshes and laces blended to suit the taste of connoisseurs. MY clothes bear a classic touch, crafted with uber eloquence and style.

List Of Shows Done So Far

• May -1998 gave me chance to see my creations on the Ramp for the first time, all thanks to Pearl Academy Of fashion. Graduating show
• May-2001 gave me an opportunity to do knitted bridal wear, that gave me ‘’THE MOST CREATIVE COLLECTION’’ award.
• May-2001 gave me opportunity to showcase my clothes amongst best collections of NIFT from all over the country at NIFT’S best of the best collection award show.
• September-2001 , I did my first solo show in collabration with Nokia India at Pragati Maidan where models like Joey mathews and Apoorva Jha showcased my creation.
• In June-2008, I had pleasure to showcase my creations at the event, that was totally dedicated for the Welfare of slum children,
• In september-2008, I had an opportunity to showcase my metallic collection at the launch of a car-model by Mahindra Auto mobiles.
• after that I got an Opportunity to showcase my spring-summer-2009 collection at Renaissance Mumbai, for Agni jewellery show, where i got to showcase my clothes amongst Who's Who of mumbai and Top models along with Agni's Brand ambassador Ria Sen walked in my creations,
• In the same month I also got an opportunity to showcase my clothes in front of 10,000 Audiences, that included some doctors and physicians across the Country at APICON-2009 at greater Noida, I got to share the stage with singer Javed Ali and Performer/Actress/Anchor/Singer Sanober Kabir.
• After Agni came Surya gold’s creations in association with Enlighten Swarovski jewellery show & launch of my autumn/winter-2009-10.Where i showcased vivid colors in evening wear, both western and Indian.
• August-2009 I showcased my clothes at the Launch of Lenovo Laptops ultra slim series.
• L’oreal Hair show at Jaipur, Ludhiana and New delhi gave me further boost, where I designed clothes on the theme of their new hair color Range.
• At Chennai International fashion week I had showcased 3 collections, spring/summer-2010. It was well appreciated by both audiences and the press.

• According to Ms. Sofia Hayat, the British Writer, composer, singer and actress, she mentioned on her blog, sofiahayat.com that ‘’ I will be back in May 2010, where I want to show stop for Chirag Joshi. I just loved his amazing clothes. A designer, I am sure, whose name will be on all of our lips in the near future!’’
  
• Ms. Hillary Clinton Obsereved that ‘’ Chirag is a genuine Indian Designer, who had not fallen into the Mould of Blindly immitating western styles, but Rather collection was truly international, while maintaining an Indian Root.

• Delegates from Boston Museum, art and fashion depts. have approached me to showcase my creations at the museum in the near future.

• I did costumes for one of the finalists at PC JEWELLERS MISS INDIA WORLDWIDE 2009.
